Use these definitions when configuring or troubleshooting merchant resources.
Payments
| Term | Definition |

| MID | A gateway connection in Recurrify, currently Dry Run, NMI, Authorize.net, or Stripe |
| Dry Run | Built-in, read-only MID that returns deterministic test outcomes without contacting an issuer |
| MID pool | A reusable group of MIDs with its own round-robin, weighted, or custom selection configuration |
| MID router | A transaction-type assignment from straight sales and subscriptions to MID pools |
| 3D Secure | Issuer authentication challenge supported by configured NMI and Stripe payment flows |
| Vault token | Backend-owned provider reference used for later charges; it is not raw card data |
Commerce
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Store | A Shopify connection whose custom app supplies catalog and order APIs |
| Domain | A verified checkout hostname, independent until selected by a checkout |
| Checkout | Customer-facing experience that links one store, domain, and router |
| Checkout session | Immutable purchase context created from the portal or Shopify storefront |
| Reverse Sync | Checkout add-on that sends paid orders back to the linked Shopify store |
| Plan | Recurrify-owned recurring schedule and pricing phases, independent of Shopify products |
Offers
| Term | Definition |

| Order bump | Simple add-on presented during checkout |
| Cross-sell | Complementary product suggestion |
| Upsell or upgrade | Replacement of a source item with a higher-value item |
| Bundle | Multiple products offered together |
| Placement | Where an offer appears in the purchase journey |
| Presentation | How the offer is rendered, such as checkbox, product card, list, or banner |
Status language

| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Ready | All required dependencies can serve new work |
| Degraded | Some dependency remains usable while another path needs attention |
| Pending | External validation, usually DNS, has not completed |
| Blocked or Unavailable | A required dependency cannot serve new work |
