Definitions for payment routing, checkout, and subscription terms.

Use these definitions when configuring or troubleshooting merchant resources.
Payments
| Term | Definition |

| MID | A gateway connection in Recurrify, currently Dry Run, NMI, Authorize.net, or Stripe |
| Dry Run | Built-in, read-only MID that returns deterministic test outcomes without contacting an issuer |
| MID pool | A reusable group of MIDs with round-robin, weighted, or custom selection |
| MID router | A reusable payment route selected by a Funnel, backed by a published policy and MID pools |
| Routing policy | Versioned ordered rules, default action, pool cascade, and attempt limits for one router |
| Payment operation | One logical payment and all of its immutable gateway attempts and outcomes |
| Dispute | A merchant case record for a processor chargeback, deadline, evidence, and outcome |
| 3D Secure | Issuer authentication challenge supported by configured NMI and Stripe flows |
| Vault token | Backend-owned provider reference used for later charges; it is not raw card data |
Commerce
| Term | Definition |

| Source Page | A hosted or Shopify Page that owns catalog compatibility, branding defaults, and one Delivery Setup |
| Hosted Source Page | A Recurrify Page with its own private products and variants |
| Shopify Source Page | A Page backed by a protected Shopify connection and catalog |
| Supporting Page | Reusable content; commerce-aware variants are bound to one Source Page |
| Checkout | A reusable, source-independent payment experience with an explicitly published design |
| Funnel | A saved journey that selects one Source Page and router, owns one hostname and graph, and can contain at most one Checkout |
| Funnel hostname | The generated Recurrify or custom hostname inherited by every Recurrify-hosted step in a Funnel |
| Managed Funnel domain | A generated funnel.recurrify.co hostname whose routing, HTTPS, and checkout origin are configured by Recurrify |
| Delivery Setup | Source Page zones and options used for server-authoritative delivery quotes |
| Delivery quote | Expiring eligible options calculated for an address, cart revision, and offer selection |
| Checkout session | Server-controlled purchase context created from one pinned Funnel runtime revision and route assignment |
| Plan | Recurrify-owned recurring schedule and pricing phases for eligible Shopify offers |
| Funnel offer | Pricing and billing terms using products compatible with the selected Source Page |
| Published resource | The Page or Checkout revision used for new customer sessions; saved drafts remain private |
| Funnel session | Server-controlled progress through one pinned runtime revision |
| Live Shopify Funnel | The single Funnel currently receiving new checkout traffic for one Shopify Source Page |
| Save conflict | A rejected save because another editor wrote a newer draft revision first |
| Effective permissions | The exact action grants enforced for a merchant membership after its role and overrides are resolved |
Offers
| Term | Definition |

| Order bump | Simple add-on presented during checkout |
| Cross-sell | Complementary product suggestion |
| Upsell or upgrade | Replacement of a source item with a higher-value item |
| Bundle | Multiple products offered together |
| Placement | Where an offer appears in the purchase journey |
| Presentation | How an offer is rendered, such as checkbox, product card, list, or banner |
| Outcome | A graph event: Continue or Default for Pages, Success for Checkout, and Accept or Decline for offers |
Status language
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Ready | All required dependencies can serve new work |
| Degraded | One dependency remains usable while another needs attention |
| DNS pending | A Funnel hostname TXT ownership record or CNAME is incomplete |
| HTTPS provisioning | DNS checks passed and certificate provisioning is in progress |
| Blocked or Unavailable | A required dependency cannot serve new work |
